the smear campaign on BLM
My pastor’s views are still developing (which is not the same undeveloped) on all the related issues, but yesterday he explicitly denounced “Black Lives Matter” as an ungodly secular movement whose objectives are at mortal odds with the biblical mission of the church and exhorted his congregation to stay away. He also rejects critical race theory (And feminism) as a destructive and divisive worldly philosophy also unsupported by the scriptures. (Tiribulus)
Mainstream Christianity in the USA is a mystery to me. They reject the universal provision of healthcare and a decent welfare system for the poorest people in their country. Because someone once told them that would be ‘socialism’ – and socialism is communism and communism is the baaaaaaad, bad debil.
But just when you think the words of the character Jesus from their holy book the Bible couldn’t be any more misrepresented, you find out they don’t want to accept that Black Lives Matter. They don’t want to accept that Black people within their country suffer from sustained, institutional racism or accept that a movement aiming to raise awareness of the numbers of deaths with the Black community could be useful.
I’ve been following some of the smear campaign against Black Lives Matter with great interest. Why would a nation on the point of compassionately reaching national awareness about this issue through largely peaceful protests, spin on its heels and start digging for any kind of negative behaviour that they can latch on to BLM?
Random unaffiliated person shooting policemen? Blame BLM. Groups of drunk young people disrespecting policemen? Blame BLM. Random schoolchildren ranting incoherently about white privilege? Blame BLM. Small groups of random, angry people threatening to kill White people? Blame BLM.
The idea is to blame BLM for anything negative or violent relating to the need to confront the issue of racism within the USA, and thereby discredit the notion than any racism exists, or that there is any need to campaign for change within American society.
But not until I read Tiribulus’ comment above did I realise why. BLM was founded by three queer Black women – not a decent White heterosexual man in sight! Let’s read about what they want, and let it sink in why White Christian patriarchal America is rushing to shut this down as fast as it can:
Black Lives Matter is a unique contribution that goes beyond extrajudicial killings of Black people by police and vigilantes. It goes beyond the narrow nationalism that can be prevalent within some Black communities, which merely call on Black people to love Black, live Black and buy Black, keeping straight cis Black men in the front of the movement while our sisters, queer and trans and disabled folk take up roles in the background or not at all. Black Lives Matter affirms the lives of Black queer and trans folks, disabled folks, Black-undocumented folks, folks with records, women and all Black lives along the gender spectrum. It centers those that have been marginalized within Black liberation movements. It is a tactic to (re)build the Black liberation movement.
When we say Black Lives Matter, we are talking about the ways in which Black people are deprived of our basic human rights and dignity. It is an acknowledgement Black poverty and genocide is state violence. It is an acknowledgment that 1 million Black people are locked in cages in this country–one half of all people in prisons or jails–is an act of state violence. It is an acknowledgment that Black women continue to bear the burden of a relentless assault on our children and our families and that assault is an act of state violence. Black queer and trans folks bearing a unique burden in a hetero-patriarchal society that disposes of us like garbage and simultaneously fetishizes us and profits off of us is state violence; the fact that 500,000 Black people in the US are undocumented immigrants and relegated to the shadows is state violence;.the fact that Black girls are used as negotiating chips during times of conflict and war is state violence; Black folks living with disabilities and different abilities bear the burden of state-sponsored Darwinian experiments that attempt to squeeze us into boxes of normality defined by White supremacy is state violence. And the fact is that the lives of Black people—not ALL people—exist within these conditions is consequence of state violence.
When Black people get free, everybody gets free

All lives matter Violet, but BLM is an organization with a mission statement and an ideology that has manifested itself in violent ways, most recently a large protest chanting, “kill all cops.” So not only is their ideology and mission statement as an organization at odds with the biblical mission of the church, they are openly calling for violence and hatred.

It seems to me his definition of divisive is anything which might tempt Christians away from the true path. From the perspective of the true path, LGBT rights are obviously wrong, so not divisive; but BLM says something which some Christians might find winsome- killing black people is a bad thing- even if more mature Christians would realise that the police never kill black people without good reason, so BLM deludes people into supporting crime and anarchy, like going into a shop and taking stuff, not caring that the staff see you because you feel they can’t stop you.
I don’t agree, but this position seems at least internally consistent. We say, LGBT rights is a good thing! He says, you are deluded and headed for Hell, and tempting others there. So we stare at him, and he stares back, each side knowing the other is morally imbecilic. Each side uses arguments the other finds worthless. Each side has fundamentally different understandings of human value and flourishing.

Christianity as a movement has manifested its ideology in violent ways, in just the past 500 years it has managed to enslave millions of people, eradicate most of the indigenous population in the Americas, and burn thousands of women at the stake for witchcraft. In just the past couple decades Christianity has managed to unleash racial terrorism with cross burnings and the lynchings of hundreds of black men, dozens of bombings of women’s health clinics and assassinations of doctors, and is responsible for the suicides of hundreds of suicides of LGBT youth. And yet you still associate yourself with it.

I generally do not go to breast cancer rallies on account of the fact they are often about corporations and politics rather than actually benefiting people with cancer. Do you really think when you buy the yogurt with the pink ribbon on it you’re doing something about breast cancer?
But if I did go to such rallies, I probably would declare all cancers matter. Prostate cancer, skin cancer, ovarian cancer, these kill far more people. What’s with the obsession with tatas? By the way that really is the name of one such rally near me, “save the tatas.” Not save the women impacted by cancer. BLS works in much the same manner. They couldn’t care less about black people. 57 of them were shot in Chicago last weekend, by other black people, not cops and no one cares.
“Shoot, yeah BLM is at odds with Christianity. Christianity is why BLM exists in the first place.”
Than like I said, amen, go Pastor! Christianity is about Salvation and loving people. That among other things is in direct contrast to walking down the street chanting “kill cops.” One of those cops killed was a black man with a four month old baby.

Insanitybytes, I am aware of the problematic nature of large non profits like the Susan B. Coleman foundation. I can tell you one thing though, buying yogurt with a pink ribbon on it may not do much to help Breast cancer, but I can tell you that buying yogurt without a pink ribbon on it definitely doesn’t do anything to help breast cancer.
Your cancer facts need some work, you should have gone with lung cancer as the cancer that kills the most amount of people, but that is generally self-inflicted. Breast cancer kills the most amount of women after lung cancer. Prostate cancer kills the most amount of men after lung cancer (women don’t have prostates and it is very rare for a man to develop breast cancer, typically only obese men). Skin cancer doesn’t even register. Ovarian cancer is the 5th most dangerous cancer for women. Pancreatic cancer comes in a 4th for both men and women and is the worst survival rate at only 1% over 10 years, and even though pancreatic cancer kills almost everyone who gets it, breast cancer with its 78% survival rate, still kills twice as many women.
You don’t get to make up facts about cancer and you don’t get to make up facts about BLM. And it’s “save the tatas” not because the women attached to those tatas are unimportant, its save the tatas because it’s funny and sometimes when your life becomes affect by something as serious as cancer, you need a little humor to get through the day. So why don’t you come back when you pull the stick out of your ass. https://www.unitypoint.org/desmoines/services-cancer-article.aspx?id=c9f17977-9947-4b66-9c0f-15076e987a5d
Back to the business at hand, I saw a meme the other day asking if BLM was going to protest Montrell Jackson’s death (don’t pretend you care about him if you don’t even know his name). Why would BLM matter need to protest his death? The Baton Rouge cop killer is dead, he has been “brought to justice.” The Dallas shooter was promptly blown up by police with a bomb wielding robot. The officers who most recently have reached the national spotlight for shooting black man without cause are on paid administrative leave, If current trends hold, the will most likely never be convicted, probably won’t even be indicted. Same thing goes for black on black crime white people to bring up. There is a far greater likelihood that if a black person kills another black person, the murder will be caught, tried, and convicted. Not so if a white person kills a black person, and definitely not so if that white person wears a blue uniform. Montrell Jackson has a 4 month old kid you say? Philando Castile had a 4 year old girl in the back seat of his car when a police officer four bullets into the vehicle, what about her? She had to sit in a car while police shot a man to death, with bullets that could have easily struck and killed her, a four year old girl, and she had to stay there while that man bleed out, and then she had to see her mother get handcuffed and placed in the back of a police cruiser. But Montrell Jackson had a 4 month old.
Christianity is about salvation and loving people. So it was loving when Christians captured people from their homelands in Africa, transported them like sardines in deadly conditions across the Atlantic Ocean and then subjected them to brutal forced labor that was all about loving and salvation. It was loving when Christians tried women in kangaroo courts and then murdered them in various ways for witchcraft, by burning them at the stake, drowning them, pressing them, hanging them. That was about salvation and love. It was about love and salvation when Christians eradicated almost all of the indigenous people in America, it was all about love and salvation when Christians forced unequal educational opportunities on African americans, it was all about love and salvation when Christians, burned crosses, beat and lynched African americans for looking the wrong way at a white woman our being out after dark. It was all about loving and salvation when Christians bombed women’s health clinics and assassinated the doctors who worked their. Christianity is all about love when they are out picketing fallen soldiers funerals with signs that say “God hates fags.” That’s all about love and salvation.
But hey sometimes some people in a nationwide, even worldwide movement that encompasses millions of people, sometimes, some people in that movement say bad things about cops, even disgusting things about cops, so the whole movement is evil and their cause is unimportant.

“God, that is, THE God, who in the beginning created the heavens and the earth, is Himself the standard by which ALL things are measured. That means when he commands Joshua to kill every man, women, child and beast in Canaan that that is PERFECTLY holy, righteous, just and good. It means that when he causes Israel to eat their own children as reported in Jeremiah 19 that that is PERFECTLY holy righteous, just and good.
It means that if He has decreed all of the horrific human misery, suffering and death in all of history that that is PERFECTLY holy righteous, just and good. It means that if He has decreed the existence of billions of human beings for the expressed purpose of casting them into the lake of fire in judgement for sin that He also decreed that that is PERFECTLY holy, righteous, just and good.
It means that if He has purposed that everything we consider to be bad, immoral and unthinkably terrible shall be so ordered by divine mechanisms known only to Himself, to His own glory for reasons sufficient unto Himself that that is PERFECTLY holy, righteous, just and good.
It also means that His not caring one bit how you (or I) feel about that is most assuredly PERFECTLY holy, righteous, just and good. I sleep like a baby knowing that every time I hear about some gut wrenching blood curdling act of barbaric depravity, that my Father God has from eternity seen fit to assign purpose to it that is PERFECTLY holy, righteous, just and good.” — Tiribilus (Greg Smith)

My goodness, what cynicism! 1 in 8 women in the USA develop breast cancer. Much of the battle to minimise damage is raising awareness in the general population so that women are checking their breasts regularly and are aware of the lifestyle changes they can make that minimise their chances of developing cancer. Rallies and yogurt actually do have an effect. As well as raising money for research into further preventative measures and potential cures. Our friend Emma shared this fun article, which argues that Americans vote for horrible people because they are, well, horrible people. http://exiledonline.com/we-the-spiteful/ In this country, tens of millions of people choose to watch FoxNews not simply because Americans are credulous idiots or at the behest of some right-wing corporate cabal, but because average Americans respect viciousness. They are attracted to viciousness for a lot of reasons. In part, it reminds them of their bosses, whom they secretly adore. Americans hate themselves for the way they behave in public, always smiling and nodding their heads with accompanying really?s and uh-huhs to show that they’re listening to the other person, never having the guts to say what they really feel. This is a problem with every movement in human society that is about injustice – fringe elements get so frustrated with the lack of change and recognition that there are outbreaks of violence. How does society as a whole respond to that? Condemn the movement seeking change, or treat people who commit criminal acts as criminals but still accept that change is required?

It is interresting, how in these discussions about the BLM the two cop killers, who indeed both were black men, have been tied to the BLM as a movement at large by some of the participants. To my knowledge, neither of the cop killers ever announced membership or even an affiliation to the BLM. But both had been soldiers. Why is it that some people find the correlation between their skin tone, but not their past military service. Both of them had guns and were trained to use them. Not only that, but they had undergone a training in wich the soldier is manipulated to become motivated to kill. I bet neither of them had recieved any treatment to dissolve such manipulation.
Did both of the cop killers come from poor families? The US is a nation where it is possible for a poor sod to get proper education, if they join the ranks of the military. Regardless wether either of them were from poor families it still is an unfair system because you have to pay for education – that is your parents will have to pay, and if they can not afford to, then you can always sell yourself to be a soldier. Sick.
The US military is the most expensive mercenary force on the face of the planet (there are only two sorts of armies – conscripted peoples armies and mercenary forces of paid soldiers). It is used to controll the raw materials flow from underdeveloped countries for the benefit of US corporations. In this trickle down economics the US “middle class” seems strangely unaware, though accepting it as a natural state of matters, that the wealth of such corporations provides for their own seemingly secure lives in wich the real threats are from being overweight and traffic accidents.
Some have brought up this notion of thug culture among the black society. But this is not a problem somehow related the skin colour of the individual. The thugh culture is a direct result of the gap between the poor and the rich. If the only way for the poor person to achieve the material things overtly admired by the commercialist culture, like fast cars, that are nothing but symbols of wealth and freedom, is to become a criminal, then it is only natural that such culture of thugism becomes prominent. If a certain demographic group suffers from powerty in such a culture, then it is their cultural innovations and traditions that become part of the admiration of thuggery. It is racist to assume the race of the people is the reason of their problems, especially so if their problems are the result in part of racism they face and have faced in the past.
Nobody I know is advocating for some sort of guilt trip for people who percieve themselves as “white” because of this racism that begets racism situation, or for the powerty begets powerty situation, but if you are not part of the solution, you are part of the problem.
The US is also a society, that ideologically promotes the idea of social rise as a goal and a possibility, while in practice among the western countries it is the one where such is the most difficult to achieve. The reason is simply because to get decent education or even healthcare you have to be able to pay quite a lot for it and a lot of the poorest people need two jobs to even pay for housing. The poor have very little chances, if any. Now, if the descendants of the former slaves are often the poorest people in such a dead end society, and the rampant commercialism is selling them the idea that the human value and value of life comes from consuming luxury products and at the same time these people have a free and totally unchecked access to firearms, no wonder their poorly educated police fear them by mere appearance. The skin clour they can not wash off, even though some of the richest ones, like Michael Jackson did just about everything money can buy to achieve it. It is a self perpetuating problem of many reasons, like a hydra. Give these people military training when they have allready been born into a culture wich seems to promote violence as the ultimate method of solving problems and guns as some sort of symbols of power, and see what you get.
It is far from uncommon, that the US veterans kill themselves, or each other after their service is over. The symptoms of PTSD are rampant, but what is actually done about that?
Already in the early 1980’s there was a popular film about a soldier turning his skills and the mistreatment of the poor against the police. The Rambo movie was a success and it has now already had several ridiculous continuation movies, where the history about the Vietnam war and the Soviets in Afghanishtan have been rewritten for the western public. The story about this ex military cop killer obviously suffering from PTSD was turned around and he was portrayed as the All American hero. The only difference between the original Rambo character and the cop killers of these few past days was that he was a whitey… How did he become the hero? Was the poor treatment he faced somehow more wrong because of his racial backround, than that of the black men killed by the police and the constant racial profiling and mistreatment most black people around the US report to have been used to all their lives?

That’s interesting about Rambo, I hate violent films, never watched it but assumed it was all set in Vietnam. The difference is that in the film (having now looked) Rambo would have been targeting a specific group of known corrupt police officers. Did the two shooters not just shoot any random White cop they could get?
The whole ex-army problems are a worry though. Such a large number of people begging on the streets here are ex-military. I must admit I used to feel something like contempt for people who chose to join the army, but now I see it as not much of a choice for some people, and even if it was, I’m horrified they’re left to simply fall apart back in society. The very least a country can do for people who they encourage to serve at risk of their life, is ensure they have sufficient support mechanisms within society when they complete their time.

So, in lieu of that; you say political opportunism? Opportunism for what exactly?
1.Are you able to offer some evidence backed insight as to why anyone would want to form such a movement?
Also:
2.Could you define Anti-American and list the anti american activities and objectives they are intent on pursuing?
3. Can you also define what you mean by ”ultra left wing Marxist agenda” and
identify the activities and how this correlates with BLM, please?

Consider it whatever you wish Ark. The only reason it makes any difference which version of reality is the true one to me, is because my God is truth itself and He is never served by human falsehood.
Also, in any case, If the world is full of racist white, black hating cops or vice versa, OR if everybody lived draped in another’s arms in tearful hippified peace, it makes no difference to my mission as a Christian.
Everyone dies forever without Christ. That’s’ what some of my own folks can’t seem to get through their heads. Getting people earthly “justice” without Jesus that leaves them dead in their sin is anything except loving them. That’s Joel Osteen’s heretical “Your Best Life Now” gospel of carnality in a different form.

Like most fundamentalists I have come across you exude a palpable hatred for anything that challenges your unfalsifiable worldview. You cling to a delusion either because of ignorance or chronic guilt which you continually try to expunge by threatening every other person who does not uphold your view.
People such as you are truly mentally ill, and every effort should be made to prevent you from having dealings with children.
The most detestable wickedness, the most horrid cruelties, and the greatest miseries that have afflicted the human race have had their origin in this thing called revelation, or revealed religion. It has been the most destructive to the peace of man since man began to exist. Among the most detestable villains in history, you could not find one worse than Moses, who gave an order to butcher the boys, to massacre the mothers and then rape the daughters. One of the most horrible atrocities found in the literature of any nation. I would not dishonor my Creator’s name by attaching it to this filthy book. [Thomas Paine, The Age of Reason]

The Pink Agendist SAYS “I don’t mean that. I mean your answer of the meaning of the word divisive. You didn’t feel it was okay to tell the truth and just say that your pastor’s definition of divisive was just what was in opposition to his version of religion. “
“Division” is the state of having irreconcilable differences. All kinds of people in all kinds of contexts can have “division” over all kinds of issues. On an absolute level, division is simply an inescapable symptom of the sinful human condition.
Until the return of Christ, even His church bride in her pre-glorified state cannot but also fall prey to her remaining corruption and herself be divided to some extent. When finally raised in her permanently perfect resurrected life, in her Lord and savior, who lead the way by rising first and defeating death and the grave, all of this division will cease as all of God’s own will be one in Him.
Every Christian lives in an absolute moral antithesis with every unbeliever. Even simple mathematics means something different for a self consciously biblical believer than it does for those still dead in their sin. It cannot be otherwise.
Trying to solve divisions among those still dead in Adam is like forcing fighting children to shake hands while the house burns down around them instead of rescuing them from the fire.
My division with you friend is not over sexuality. That’s a symptom. Our irreconcilable difference is defined by our covenant status with the Lord God. You are, as was I, born into the family of father Adam, a condemned covenant breaker. Left to myself, I would still be there with you. A rebel, committed to ME ME ME, which is the ultimate idolatry of self worship and what earns us that place in the everlasting lake of fire.
It’s not what we do, or think that damns us by itself. It’s who it’s against. One glimpse of His blinding holy presence and no sinner will have any mystery of why they are receiving that sentence and will utter not a syllable in protest.
Jesus Christ was the only sinless covenant keeper since the garden of Eden. He died in my place, as if He were Himself guilty of my covenant law breaking sin. Having no sin of His own, death could not hold Him and when He stepped forth alive again from that tomb, victorious over my sin and death, He brought me with Him. At the time appointed by the Father, His servant named Bob Allen (a black man) presented me with this glorious good news (that’s what “gospel” means.” Good news”), the the Holy Spirit gave me a new heart and I believed him. That was 32 years ago next month.
Think with me for a minute. IF what I’m telling you is true, EVERY other thing you think is so important, is entirely meaningless by comparison. I do what I do because I love people and want them to have what I have and they can. All they have to do is ask and believe. He will make them new too. He promised. Just like Bobby told me in that apartment that steaming August night in 1984. A confused mixed up 20 year old low life was made alive in the risen and exalted Christ.
My job is to tell you. Only He can save you. This was a couple months before I was born again. May or June 1984.

Indeed I am not. Don’t ya see Ark, that’s the one thing I can never grant you, because it does not exist. Our God has already spoken, and clearly.
I begin where the bible begins. “In the beginning God…”
That is for me the all governing unprovable first principle that proves all others.
Yours is your own intellect. In other words, you worship yourself by attributing to yourself authority and knowledge possible only to God.
The very notion of ultimate human objectivity is not only preposterous, but insolent as well.
For you, the conclusions are clear before the investigation has started. I know that because your investigation itself is proof. For you, the God of the bible CANNOT be who and what He says He is, or you’d be assuming Him first like I do.
For me, I’d sooner investigate my own existence than His. Mine depends on His. He is not, indeed cannot be an object of our probing investigation. He is Himself the standard by which any investigation at all proceeds. Indeed, I also assume my conclusions out of hand. Everybody does
We all live by faith Ark. It’s only a matter of what in.
That’s where our battle is. Not in this or that particular so called “evidence.” Anybody can make any data say whatever they want. Despite their pontificating protestations to the contrary.
God is not on trial. You are. Actually, He’s already declared you guilty and adjudicated your sentence. You can either serve it yourself in eternal death or believe that Jesus Christ has served it for you and live. I would really love to see the latter. I really would. That would make us brothers 🙂

The Epistle of Paul the Apostle to the Saints at Ephesus. 1st chapter
1-Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God,
To the saints who are at Ephesus and who are faithful in Christ Jesus: 2-Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
3-Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, 4j-ust as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him. In love 5-He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the kind intention of His will, 6-to the praise of the glory of His grace, which He freely bestowed on us in the Beloved. 7-In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace 8-which He lavished on us. In all wisdom and insight 9-He made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His kind intention which He purposed in Him 10-with a view to an administration suitable to the fullness of the times, that is, the summing up of all things in Christ, things in the heavens and things on the earth. In Him 11-also we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to His purpose who works all things after the counsel of His will, 12-to the end that we who were the first to hope in Christ would be to the praise of His glory. 13-In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation—having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise, 14-who is given as a pledge of our inheritance, with a view to the redemption of God’s own possession, to the praise of His glory.
15-For this reason I too, having heard of the faith in the Lord Jesus which exists among you and your love for all the saints, 16-do not cease giving thanks for you, while making mention of you in my prayers; 17-that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him. 18-I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, 19-and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe. These are in accordance with the working of the strength of His might 20-which He brought about in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, 21-far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. 22-And He put all things in subjection under His feet, and gave Him as head over all things to the church, 23-which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.

For many adults it is often because of drink, drugs, porn or something along those lines. Maybe a traumatic event that made them feel they were unworthy or some sort of apparent divine inspiration.

The reason I turned to Jesus of Nazareth and confessed my sins and begged for forgiveness and prayed for salvation was because I, Greg, despite 14 months already clean and sober, was convicted of my sin and helplessness before the God of the universe when in August of 1984 at 20 years of age, His faithful servant Bob Allen told me why I was lost and the only way I could be saved.

… 18-For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, 19-because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them. 20-For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse….

I know nothing of an invisible man in the sky Ark. This is the best concise human description of the God I worship.
(The Westminster Confession of Faith of 1646. Chapter II)
Of God, and of the Holy Trinity.
I. There is but one only living and true God, who is infinite in being and perfection, a most pure spirit, invisible, without body, parts, or passions, immutable, immense, eternal, incomprehensible, almighty, most wise, most holy, most free, most absolute, working all things according to the counsel of his own immutable and most righteous will, for his own glory, most loving, gracious, merciful, long-suffering, abundant in goodness and truth, forgiving iniquity, transgression, and sin; the rewarder of them that diligently seek him; and withal most just and terrible in his judgments; hating all sin; and who will by no means clear the guilty.
II. God hath all life, glory, goodness, blessedness, in and of himself; and is alone in and unto himself all-sufficient, not standing in need of any creatures which he hath made, nor deriving any glory from them, but only manifesting his own glory in, by, unto, and upon them; he is the alone foundation of all being, of whom, through whom, and to whom, are all things; and hath most sovereign dominion over them, to do by them, for them, or upon them, whatsoever himself pleaseth. In his sight all things are open and manifest; his knowledge is infinite, infallible, and independent upon the creature; so as nothing is to him contingent or uncertain. He is most holy in all his counsels, in all his works, and in all his commands. To him is due from angels and men, and every other creature, whatsoever worship, service, or obedience he is pleased to require of them.
III. In the unity of the Godhead there be three Persons of one substance, power, and eternity: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost. The Father is of none, neither begotten nor proceeding; the Son is eternally begotten of the Father; the Holy Ghost eternally proceeding from the Father and the Son.

If you take everything the bible says about God, that’s Him. Here’s chapter III too, just for kicks.
========================================
Of God’s Eternal Decree.
I. God from all eternity did by the most wise and holy counsel of his own will, freely and unchangeably ordain whatsoever comes to pass; yet so as thereby neither is God the author of sin; nor is violence offered to the will of the creatures, nor is the liberty or contingency of second causes taken away, but rather established.
II.Although God knows whatsoever may or can come to pass, upon all supposed conditions; yet hath he not decreed any thing because he foresaw it as future, as that which would come to pass, upon such conditions.
III. By the decree of God, for the manifestation of his glory, some men and angels are predestinated unto everlasting life, and others foreordained to everlasting death.
IV. These angels and men, thus predestinated and foreordained, are particularly and unchangeably designed; and their number is so certain and definite that it can not be either increased or diminished.
V. Those of mankind that are predestinated unto life, God, before the foundation of the world was laid, according to his eternal and immutable purpose, and the secret counsel and good pleasure of his will, hath chosen in Christ, unto everlasting glory, out of his free grace and love alone, without any foresight of faith or good works, or perseverance in either of them, or any other thing in the creature, as conditions, or causes moving him thereunto; and all to the praise of his glorious grace.
VI. As God hath appointed the elect unto glory, so hath he, by the eternal and most free purpose of his will, foreordained all the means thereunto. Wherefore they who are elected being fallen in Adam are redeemed by Christ, are effectually called unto faith in Christ by his Spirit working in due season; are justified, adopted, sanctified, and kept by his power through faith unto salvation. Neither are any other redeemed by Christ, effectually called, justified, adopted, sanctified, and saved, but the elect only.
VII. The rest of mankind, God was pleased, according to the unsearchable counsel of his own will, whereby he extendeth or withholdeth mercy as he pleaseth, for the glory of his sovereign power over his creatures, to pass by, and to ordain them to dishonor and wrath for their sin, to the praise of his glorious justice.
VIII. The doctrine of this high mystery of predestination is to be handled with special prudence and care, that men attending to the will of God revealed in his Word, and yielding obedience thereunto, may, from the certainty of their effectual vocation, be assured of their eternal election. So shall this doctrine afford matter of praise, reverence, and admiration of God; and of humility, diligence, and abundant consolation to all that sincerely obey the gospel.

He’s bigger than you see? And He always gets His way. Always.
He doesn’t care one bit what you think. (He doesn’t’ care one bit what I think either btw)
You WILL do what He wants you to do. In fact, you already are.

Reblogged this on Scotties Toy Box and commented:
It is a fact that if we are to have any of us be free and any of us be equal…then all of us must be equal! it doesn’t matter if we are men, women, non gender conforming, trans, or gay or lesbian, white, black, Indian or any other thing. It matters not how we identify ourselves. What matters is how we treat others and how we are treated. Our Government must acknowledge that principle. I realize that things have progressed and I am thankful for it, but that doesn’t mean we have reached the best we can be. We can still improve. And we will. IF people want to. I want to. Thanks and hugs

Christ’s life mattered, and look what happened to him. Wait…Christ was black..never mind. Man. Allah wants me to tell you all this, sorry. From the Koran: 3:85: “And whoever seeks a religion other than Islâm, it will never be accepted of him, and in the Hereafter he will be one of the losers.”
All you atheists and Christian dogs who fail to accept this fact, may you burn forever in hell. Thanks, and $Allahu Akbar$

Just in case you missed it, I never did get an answer to this Violet:
—————————————————————–
“And Violet? In your world, what exactly IS profanity? And how could reading it harm children on a website where they cannot get an answer to why 1+1=2? To help them understand the world?
I would be most keenly interested in your answers.”

Yes, I did miss it. Words commonly considered unacceptable for broadcast in individual societies are part of our cultural and social programming. So, for instance in Argentina, people will swear with “The Virgin Mother’s vagina!” or in Italy the worst thing you can say is “Pig god!”. In English, we tend to avoid what is perceived as crude language for sex in polite company, or in front of children, which hopefully helps them avoid saying embarrassing or inappropriate comments that might lead them to be judged socially. In addition to this, using language that is generally perceived to be profane in the midst of what should be a civil discussion, lowers the tone in terms of detracting attention from the content of an argument by attempting to shock, intimidate or insult someone. Now, why this relates to your ramble about 1+1=2, for which you couldn’t muster a coherent line of argument a few years (?) ago, is beyond me.

That’s a perfect answer Violet. Thank you. Would to God that many Christians had the cultural insight that you of all people here demonstrate. Regrettably, many do not though.
Nothing to do with my argument from maths and logic. I assure you it is with zero sarcasm that I say that you have been very helpful.
