cheap thrills @ violetwisp
I’m horrified that I’m something of a pornography host.
‘African boobs’, ‘Zulu sexy girls’ and ‘sex video zulu big hips curves’ are some of the many similar search items that lead to my blog. This is due to comments on a post from over two years ago that expressed disgust at men who think women need to alter their clothing so men don’t get turned on.
Victoria said, “Some cultures are not ashamed of their bodies and don’t sexualize them like Abrahamic cultures do.” She posted a picture of women from another culture to illustrate her point, and discussed how bras are used to give women “perky boobs, an evolutionary sign of youth and rip for reproduction.”
Ark then said, “Ironically, a few years ago, it was suggested that maidens who participated in the traditional Zulu Reed dance approach the ceremony ”more modestly”. I kid you not! And this is African Tradition.”
Now my blog is an attraction zone for people seeking a quick internet naked thrill. I’m not pleased. So, a note to all the bored teenagers looking for quick thrills on the internet who end up at Violetwisp – YOU’LL GO BLIND!
But seriously, I have several serious concerns about the use of porn. So I thought it would be useful to leave some food for thought from a Guardian article for anyone else who stumbles across my site looking for boobs:
- the prevalence of porn means that men are becoming desensitised to it, and are therefore seeking out ever harsher, more violent and degrading images.
- The more porn images filter into mainstream culture, the more girls and women are stripped of full human status and reduced to sex objects.
- She recently interviewed a number of men in prison who had committed rape against children. All were habitual users of child pornography. “What they said to me was they got bored with ‘regular’ porn and wanted something fresh. They were horrified at the idea of sex with a prepubescent child initially but within six months they had all raped a child.”
All porn paths don’t lead to such vile outcomes, but it’s worth bearing in mind that cheap thrills have real human stories before them and ahead of them.

“Yaldabaoth” – you arrive on page 4. I must arrive on page 10236 of ‘zulu boobs’, given the relevance to my post. Very few click on it, but it gets views every month. I used to be able to lucid dream, in the days when I had plenty of sleep and napping opportunities. I still remember the first time I had sleep paralysis, that freaked my out.

I understand you go to earlier pages on searches if people spend a long time on your page. Amoral search engine optimisers use this to attack pages by using bots to search for them, click and immediately click back to something else. Perhaps people spend time reading your page because they are perplexed, and certain zulu boobs must come up eventually- or perhaps they are so fascinated that they no longer wish to search for porn: you could change your tag line to “More interesting than pornography”. I searched for zulu boobs, but you were not on page 4 or before: I would have thought porn seekers would find african-breasts.com, and get no further.

Your Dashboard? I have a stats block up (by default) that shows a graph with views and underneath it says “Top Searches”, which today are “african breasts images, zulu girls bums, sex video zulu big hips curves, old testament bastard will not go to heaven”. Unbelievable!

You might have to go further back them. Click into the stats, then click the arrow into Search Terms, and choose ‘quarter’ or ‘year’ or ‘all time’.

I always find it disappointing that your god, Yahweh never made any sort of appearance at any of the times when they were deciding on the Canon.
One would have thought that for such an important message, your god Yahweh would have found some way to ensure the ”right” books were included rather than leave the choice to a bunch of delusional self-obsessed and quite likely old men, with faulty memories and probably early stage dementia.
Perhaps after all, it really is impossible to derive divine inspiration from a fictitious and therefore silent deity and these men simply made shit up?

We have a documented history of a Catholic church bursting at the seams with torturers, brutal murderers, liars, pedophiles, war mongers, scholastic fraud, nepotism, and every other possible form of abuse that has done little to improve the integrity or diminish the credulity of people such as yourself. Ark, SOM doesn’t like the jokes about him being a troll, drunk or in jail. I really think we should show him some Christian respect and try to avoid these comedy slurs. He’s an American Catholic with an appreciation for Protestantism and a desire to move the Holy See to the USA. His concern for our souls with such pressing concerns is rather touching, don’t you think?

I haven’t read the book yet, just stumbled across that nice section about women. Hopefully I’ll have some time to dedicate to serious research on such a fine piece of work in the next few weeks. Have you studied it in some depth? What other books still in the Catholic Canon would you recommend? I’m sure there are many I don’t know about. I seem to remember John had a good post on the another gospel – was it Mark? It’s fun to think of all those men sitting about waiting for the invisible spirit to tell them what books the Real Bible need, and what books are heresy or nonsense, and then several hundred years later more men doing the same thing and coming to different conclusions.

In the absence of people taking real reasons for avoiding porn seriously, making masturbation something to be feared is tempting. But probably doesn’t work. I’m sure if you ejaculate to guilt in your formative years it can mess up your response to the bonding chemicals and therefore sexual relations with real humans when you find someone who’ll join you. Any thoughts? You might have experience there.

Making teenage boys ashamed of anything is about the easiest thing in the world, yet they manage to grow up and live normal lives, so I doubt many people are messed up for life if they felt guilty about masturbation.
I never recall being subjected to guilt trips about anything sex-related, chastity was proposed as an virtue to work on, but with the caveat that true virtue requires an atmosphere of peace, not guilt. Then again my upbringing was mostly idyllic, green fields and fishin’ holes and all that, so I can’t speak for the whole population.
I did once meet a former evangelical who was very angry about the guilt he felt for masturbating and for some boyish same-sex exploration, and that got him started on the path to atheism, but I doubt his experience is typical, and it seems to have mostly been in his own head, no one was forcing moral perfection on him.
